To develop the interactive software for this project, we integrated LiDAR technology with TouchDesigner. This combination allowed us to capture and respond to physical movements in real-time, creating an immersive and responsive environment. The LiDAR system provided accurate depth data, while TouchDesigner helped us visualize and manipulate this data to produce dynamic visual effects.
In planning the layout and spatial design of the experience, we used CAD software for precise architectural and engineering drawings. This ensured that every element of the installation was accurately plotted and integrated within the physical space. For a more realistic and interactive preview of how the components would come together, we utilized Unreal Engine. This allowed us to simulate the entire experience in a virtual environment, enabling us to refine the aesthetics and functionality before the final build. This previsualization was crucial in ensuring that the interactive elements performed seamlessly in the live setting.
