In a creative concept pitch for Big Face, the coffee brand launched by basketball star Jimmy Butler, I aimed to innovate the retail experience. My vision was to create a physical, experiential store that would attract coffee enthusiasts and showcase new display technology.
Central to my concept was the development of a unique, 'holographic' display, crafted without traditional holographic techniques. I used a series of fluorescent and translucent Plexiglass layers, carefully spaced, to create an effect of visual depth. A strategically positioned projector cast images onto these layers, making use of the RGB delay in the Plexiglass to selectively block and display colors on different layers, creating a multi-dimensional visual effect.

PROOF OF CONCEPT FOR INNOVATIVE HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY
This video showcases a small-scale proof of concept for the display technology designed for Big Face's experiential store. In this prototype, you'll notice the use of fluorescent and translucent Plexiglass layers, creating a stunning illusion of depth and dimensionality. As the projector illuminates these carefully spaced layers, observe how the RGB delay phenomenon is harnessed to filter and display colors selectively, crafting a 3D effect.
